We are proud to present our first extensive case study, revealing fascinating insights from this new battleground.## Our AEO Mission: Engaging B2B Tech ChatbotsOur goal was to determine how effectively our AI agent could communicate with customer chatbots on B2B technology websites and identify the factors influencing success.### Objectives and MethodologyOur autonomous AI bot was designed to proactively engage chatbots on company websites with a relevant business offer, then analyze their responses. We aimed to establish a successful handshake – that is, either to elicit the bot's interest in the information provided, or to achieve a contact handover to a human developer or salesperson.### Fascinating Findings: Crisp vs. ZendeskDuring our study, we:- Engaged a total of 12,273 customer chatbots on various B2B technology websites.- Recorded 476 successful handshakes, representing an overall conversion rate of 3.9%.While these results may not seem dramatic at first glance, they hold crucial information about future trends.#### Huge Differences in Platform OpennessWe encountered a huge difference in how individual chatbot platforms respond to AI-initiated communication:- Crisp.chat and Tidio show by far the highest rate of cooperation, with conversions reaching approximately 14% interest. These platforms are designed with an open architecture, and their AI assistants are apparently trained for cooperation and efficient information transfer, allowing for more complex interactions.- Conversely, bots built on platforms like Zendesk and HubSpot have a conversion rate well below 0.5%. Why such a marked difference? These platforms are often rigid, their bots are blocked by cookies or require pre-chat form completion. Furthermore, they often have a "Safety Steering" configured, which automatically rejects any non-standard or commercial discussion, effectively preventing AI-to-AI communication.### Technological Innovation: Closed-Loop Learning (Few-Shot Feedback Loop)One of the key elements of our success was the implementation of a sophisticated learning methodology.- We implemented a closed-loop learning (Few-Shot Feedback Loop). Before engaging a new website, our sending bot automatically selects 3 past successful conversations from its database and uses them as a pattern for the Gemini model for the current attempt.
